|So... I'm 30... Yay?

Ok, so it was yesterday, but I spent the majority of the day offline. I went to a party and didn't think it would be polite to bring my computer along for the ride. Turns out that once the initial exodus took place, I would have fit right in if I had powered up and logged on... but anyway.
So I turned 30 this weekend. Specifically yesterday. One of my brothers graduated from his Masters program, so most of my family was going to go do that, and it was a little on the high side to go down there, and he's coming home for Christmas anyway. So I decided to do my own thing for my birthday.
After some drama with getting the family dog to the vet to be kenneled for the weekend, I went home on Thursday night, packed and went to bed. Went to work, and then immediately left from work for Columbia. I made decent time, took a quick shower, and went off to birthday celebration 1 with the friends who couldn't do stuff Sunday night. So after a few setbacks, we finally found a place to eat and went back to Dan and Dan's to play boardgames. Arkham Horror until 3 or 4 am, anyone? Oh and I brought down Apple Pie and they sampled it and a good time was had by all.
I got a few hours of sleep and then talked comics and waxed philosophical with my friends until i left for St. Louis and the December Birthdays Party. Which... Was.... AWESOME! And I didn't even get to ply Shots D&D like I had intended (I was to be in the midnight crew, and he ( the gm and party host) ended up running it only once), but that was fine by me by the time it happened.
There was much that happened in the ensuing 24 hrs, most of it dealing with me being subjected to headgames that I definitely don't understand. I stayed up until 7.... caught a little sleep, and then played boardgames until late in the afternoon. Hopped on the road after my goodbyes, came back up to Columbia, grabbed dinner with friends. Received a gaggift. and then came back to their apartment.. and they're playing video games. I was, but I'm physically and mentally exhausted... So I'm very content to watch. And a lot of that has to do with a phone call I got a little while ago which caused two opposing reactions to it's conclusion...
I realized this is jumbled and likely gobbledy gook, but I've had 8-10 hrs sleep in the last 72 hrs. And I have a feeling I might want to have my memories jotted down while they are fresh.
So... tomorrow I try to do Christmas shopping, drive home, and maybe catch Tron on the IMAX in KC.
